Mission
Job Summary
Corporate Legal Affairs is a key governance function within Viridien, providing legal guidance and support to the Board of Directors, Executive Management, and business functions across the Group. The department helps ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, manages legal and regulatory risks, and supports effective corporate governance and risk management practices.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, the team provides legal advice on corporate, commercial, governance, compliance, and strategic matters, helping to protect the Group's interests, assets, and reputation while enabling business success. In addition, the position will also involve occasional assignments related to Enterprise Risk Management.
About the Team
As a Corporate Law Intern, you will join a team of four professionals in Massy, bringing together the Corporate Legal Affairs and Enterprise Risk Management functions. Reporting directly to Viridien's Group Head of Corporate Legal Affairs, you will gain hands-on experience in strategic corporate and securities law matters while working closely with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic international environment;
Key Responsibilities
* Take part in the preparation of Board of Directors meetings and to the organization of the Company's General Shareholders' Meeting.
* Review and/or drafting of reporting documents required under stock market regulations, particularly the Universal Registration Document (URD).
* Participate in cross-functional projects involving other departments (Insurance Risk management, Finance, Human Resources, IT, etc.).
* Monitor legal developments, conducting research, drafting memoranda, and carrying out various assignments related to corporate law, corporate governance, and securities law.
Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a Master's degree (Master's level, equivalent to a five-year higher education qualification) in Business Law, or you are a student at the Bar School seeking an Individual Educational Project (PPI)
* Strong foundation in business law, corporate law, and securities law.
* Initial experience either within a company or in a law firm
* Fluent in both written and spoken French and English
* Strong drafting skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
* Curious, enthusiastic, and a strong communicator, you are able to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating rigor
