Job Description
As a member of IPT for the Development Programs, ensure active involvement to deliver effective Lessons learnt deployment.
To be responsible and accountable for the development, coordination, function and management of ILS program activities.
Responsible for producing, coordinating and managing the deployment of an ILS program plan and LSA engineering resource requirement.
Responsible for the management, study, production and coordination of all the supportability, maintainability and logistics elements of an ILS plan in preparation for EIS (Entry into Service) including business risk assessment.
Being the focal point for the aircraft manufacturer regarding all aspects of the required support system and its implementation.
Responsible for managing, coaching, mentoring and skills development of ILS and LSA Engineer.
Support the development of strategic solutions to improve product support performance with the use of Maintenance Engineering techniques (MSG-3) within Initial and Continued Airworthiness regulations (CS 25 PART M, 145, 21G).
Responsible for delivering, maintaining and integrating ILS processes across the business.
Support the development of future product support services provisions to the customer which may require attendance and active participation during the development milestone meetings.
Manage the integration of ILS/LSA requirements into the design of the product during development to achieve efficient and effective maintainability, supportability, reliability and DMC performance.
Manage the provision and validation of GSE tooling, Technical Documentation, Logistics Data (Recommended Spare parts list and Initial Provisioning) necessary to meet the Entry Into Service requirements.
Analysis of life cycle costs (LCC) and the derivation and review of other maintenance cost parameters such as DMC's.
Accountable for the development and maintenance of the Logistic Support Analysis databases (LSAR).
With Program Manager, negotiate maintenance costs and performance guarantees with the customer.
Ensure a effective hand-over from the Development (IPS) to In-Service (PSM) transition within IPT team.
Complementary Description
A liaison between Test, Reliability & Maintainability Engineering, the Customer Support Team and the Program Management.
Negotiate ILS/LSA requirements during Request for Proposal and Contract negotiation phase. The IPSM will be assisted by the Senior IPSM.
Job Requirements
A University degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, coupled with 5 – 7 years post qualification experience in design and development ideally in landing gear systems.
Highly proficient in both written and spoken English.
Ability to work with a remote Manager and in a multicultural team.
Ability to present to large audience during Maintenance Working Groups, Industry Steering Committees.
Strong understanding of support activities and their relationship to IPS processes and techniques.
Working knowledge of current supportability engineering techniques on Availability, Reliability, Maintainability and Testability (ARM&T).
Program/Project management skills and experience. Good knowledge of PROMPT and Toll gates is an advantage.
Previous experience in MRB activities (MSG-3 SSI and MSI) is favourable.
Proven capability with advanced computer skills including the development and management of databases.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels including strong report writing skills.
Good customer services skills.

Travels required to meet airframers / customer needs.
