Job Description: A vacancy for a CertificationQualification Engineer NH90 Program has arisen within AirbusHelicopters. You will join the Airworthiness Office of AirbusHelicopters in Marignane and become part of the Chief AirworthinessEngineer's (CAE) Team for NH90 Program to support the safety of ourproducts by managing the Certification, Qualification and initialAirworthiness activities for your program. This includes newhelicopter type certification, changes to existing helicopter typecertificates and flight clearances. Each Project involves variouscontributors (Chief Engineering, designers, internal and externalspecialists, customer support, prototype shop, Final Assembly Line,...). As Certification Qualification Engineer you will be the focalpoint for the Airworthiness Authorities with whom you willnegotiate the certification basis as well as the certificationstrategy and means of compliance (lab/ground/flight testing, Safetyanalysis...) and authority involvement (document acceptance, testwitnessing, in-house reviews...). As Certification/QualificationEngineer you will be responsible to ensure demonstration ofcompliance to the applicable airworthiness requirements, to ensuretheir in-service safety. You will be responsible for leading theCertification and Qualification activities necessary to meet theNH90 development and deliveries milestones. This results in achallenging transverse position, including negotiation internallybut also with Aviation Authorities world-wide, with greatresponsibilities, and a good overview on our products, on oursystems and on our organization. This position will require asecurity clearance or will require being eligible for clearance bythe recognized authorities. Task & accountabilities : Yourmission is to perform the certification and qualificationactivities of the NH90 Helicopter, in an international environmentwith its industrial partners, within the transnational team of theChief Airworthiness Engineer. You will join NH90 AirworthinessSupport Team, and work mainly on NH90 qualification steps projects.To achieve this you have to: - Identify/define/harmonize theapplicable Certification / Qualification requirements for the scopeof modifications you were allocated. - Define theCertification/qualification Logics, elaborate and harmonizeinternally and externally (Airworthiness Authorities) thecertification & qualification plans, including theidentification of the Means of Compliance and associateddemonstrations of compliance. - Coordinate the creation anddelivery of those compliance demonstrations in accordance with thegeneral milestones provided by the Project team - Validate thosedemonstrations of compliance and harmonize them with Authoritiesand Nations. - Produce the certification / qualification synthesisdocuments and harmonize them with authorities. In Parallel, theposition may offer the opportunity to: - Work on the other fieldsof certification, such as Flight Clearances, Repairs, Concessions,Tech pub stand-alone changes, or Post-TC topics. - Depending youractivities, you could also be part of the associated proceduresharmonization when needed. - Promote our Roles &Responsibilities and associated processes within Airbus Helicopterand in front of our Authorities. - Be the point of contact of allAirworthiness/Qualification topics relative to one or several NH90versions (and/or qualification Steps) in front of internalcustomers/suppliers (LF, Project, Configuration ...) as well asexternal ones (authorities, partners). - Become authorizedsignatory and responsible within the design assurance systemincluding the whole process of certification and qualification -Manage a transversal team for a given certification/qualificationproject - Required skills : You will have the following skills andexperience: - Educated to a 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent)in Engineering or a related discipline. - At least 5 years ofoverall experience - Experience in certification would be a plus -Experienced in project management - Good level of communication -Comfortable in negotiation situations - Language Skills: Advancedlevel of English and French This job requires an awareness of anypotential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity,as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation andsustainable growth.
