Job Introduction Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Your environment The French subsidiary works closely with and as an integral part of the head office in Vienna (Austria). It manages a range of large-scale, complex projects as well as long-term maintenance contracts.We are looking for a supportive colleague as system engineer for our very well-established team at our subsidiary in Toulouse France. You will be the technical maintenance manager of one or more VCS (Voice Communication Systems) projects in an ATM environment and work in close cooperation with the project manager in Toulouse and with the technical teams in Vienna. You will act as the customer’s main point of contact to clarify technical requirements and develop appropriate solutions. Key Tasks
You will be the technical manager of one or more VCS (Voice Communication Systems) projects in an ATM (Air Traffic Management) environment, in close cooperation with the project manager in Toulouse and with the technical teams in Vienna
You will be the customer's main point of contact to clarify technical requirements and develop appropriate solutions
You will act as the interface between the customer and the rest of the team (development, other System engineers)
You will carry out integration, validation, and customer acceptance tests
You will support system commissioning on site with the customer
You may be required to provide technical training and organise workshops with the customer
You will be required to travel regularly to Customer sites in France and to the Group's head office in Vienna, Austria
Key Qualifications
System Engineer ideally specialising in telecommunications and/or computer science
Experience in testing or deployment on customer sites of critical systems is desired
Networking and VoIP experience is desired Good knowledge of Linux is a plus
Ability to draft technical documents in French and English
System engineering knowledge
Knowledge of air traffic control is a major plus
Good ability to communicate with and work within a multidisciplinary international team
Organisation, independence, reliability, and the ability to manage priorities and to take initiatives are required
Working language: Fluent French / Advanced English; German would be a plus
Willing to regularly travel around France and to Austria
