Job Title:Wordings Specialist Intern (Work-Study)

Type: Up to 24 month Fixed Term contract
Purpose of the Role
The primary responsibility of the role is to assist the Head of Wordings Europe in policy documents review and drafting, as well as legal monitoring and training, with a view to enhancing underwriting performance. We would ideally like this role to start from September onwards.
Key Responsibilities
Review and update LSM branded policy wordings.
Review and draft bespoke clauses.
Review IPIDs and other policy related documentation, provide templates where appropriate.
Monitor and advise on key legal and regulatory developments likely to have an impact on LSM lines of business.
Feed the Wordings SharePoint to provide relevant information and alerts to underwriters.
Develop and populate the Wordings Clause Library.
Assist in cataloguing the insurance products written across European branches.
Prepare presentations and training sessions on insurance law matters.
Liaising with the Claims department to leverage claims experience to improve the wordings’ quality.
There is also the opportunity for your role to be extended to assisting the claims department further including preparing claims history listings, handling coinsurance relationship, making research on legal topics relevant to claims handling and handling small claims (Depending on the workload and your availability).

Knowledge, skills and experience:
Currently at university specialising in insurance law and/or liability law
Fluent in English and French, fluency in another EU language is a plus
Strong analytical and drafting skills & eye for detail
Good level of knowledge of common software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Curiosity & eagerness to learn
High energy and a problem-solving mindset
